Filipino Spirit of Bayanihan Shines Among OFWs in Taiwan

TAIPEI, TAIWAN — Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Taiwan continue to exemplify the enduring spirit of bayanihan, drawing strength from one another while living and working far from home.

Despite the emotional and mental toll of being away from their families and the lives they left behind, many OFWs have found comfort, camaraderie, and support through the Filipino communities they have built abroad.

Whether through the guidance of labor attachés or their fellow kababayans, OFWs in Taiwan know they are never alone. In moments of hardship and celebration alike, they’ve leaned on each other to create a strong, united presence overseas.

In this special episode of Bantay OCW, straight from Taiwan, we get to know more of the Filipino communities that have come to rely on each other throughout both the good and bad times of their stay abroad.
